Directly: Head of Sales, Indirectly : Telesales Leader, Counter Sales Leader, Retail Leader

Job Level: Management


The Retail Manager is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to the Telesales, Counter Sales, and Retail Team to deliver set targets, grow market share, and provide exemplary customer experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:
    • Manage the Telesales, Counter Sales, and Retail Team.
    • Control expenses, meet agreed targets, and promote the organization’s brand.
  2. Sales Planning:
    • Assist in the development of the annual sales plan.
    • Implement sales and marketing plans to achieve market share growth, volume, profitability, revenue, and brand objectives.
    • Prepare realistic target forecasts for each product based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, and sales effort.
  3. Lead Conversion:
    • Supervise the team to follow through in converting leads into sales.
    • Train and support the team to generate high-quality sales leads, follow up after initial contact, secure and renew orders, negotiate prices, and complete sales.
  4. Retail Expansion:
    • Establish new areas within the county for setting up retail outlets with a well-thought-out business plan on existing opportunities.
    • Manage the retail team and various established outlets.
  5. Collaboration with Sales Head:
    • Work directly with the Sales Head to prioritize initiatives focused on client services, value delivery, efficiency/cost control, setting and reviewing the sales budget for each team, and resource management.
  6. Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor team performance by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, etc.
  7. Market Awareness:
    • Keep up to date with products, competitors, customer analysis, collect customer feedback, and conduct market research.
  8. Compliance:
    • Promote compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct in business development and sales practices.
  9. Technology Utilization:
    • Utilize CRM and ERP software to enhance sales processes.

Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction, or related fields.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in a sales role within the manufacturing industry.
