Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

LOCATION: Uganda

OVERALL PURPOSE: Lead Sales Team to drive revenue growth within the designated geographic region, ensuring collaboration internally and externally to enhance market share across all product categories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Commercial Acumen: Develop and implement sales strategies, monitor costs, analyze sales data, negotiate JBPs, ensure compliance, and maintain brand positioning.
  2. Business Development & Market Expansion: Identify and develop new markets, list new products, optimize routes to market, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  3. Team Leadership & Management: Set targets, monitor performance, oversee marketing campaigns, recruit and train sales team, provide guidance, and manage leave plans.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, expand network of retailers and distributors, and coordinate with marketing for promotions.
  5. Compliance & Ethics: Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  6. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular sales reports and analysis, utilize data-driven insights for decision-making, and perform other assigned duties.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  1. Achieve Regional Sales Target.
  2. Achieve Product Mix per category targets.
  3. Achieve New Business Development Targets per category.
  4. Maintain Monthly CTC within 3% of Monthly Sales Revenue.
  5. Conduct 8 Coaching for performance days per month.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or Marketing.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience, preferably in FMCG.
  • Minimum 4 years in a leadership role with autonomous decision-making authority.
