We are currently seeking a Head of Bakery to lead our bakery team and manage all aspects of our bakery operations.

Job Summary:
The Head of Bakery will oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring the production of high-quality bakery items that meet our customers’ expectations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, strong leadership skills, and a track record of successfully managing bakery operations in a retail setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
  • Lead, train, and manage bakery staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
  • Innovate and develop new bakery products, keeping up with industry trends and customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive product offering and promote the bakery department.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to adjust product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage the bakery department budget, setting financial targets and ensuring they are met.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bakery Manager, Head Baker, or similar role in a retail or large-scale bakery setting.
  • Professional training or certification in Baking and Pastry Arts is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, baking technologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
