Job Description

Purpose of Job:

To drive the growth of the organization by identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, and enhancing the organization’s market presence. The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in achieving revenue targets and expanding the company’s footprint in the security screening industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential clients and business opportunities through market research and analysis.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and priorities.
  • Define key target markets and tailor security business development strategies to suit various market segments.
  • Propose and negotiate business deals by understanding client requirements and aligning them with suitable solutions.
  • Utilize networking events to generate leads, meet potential clients, and promote the company.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer and market dynamics to effectively meet client needs and penetrate target markets.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to demonstrate tailored product solutions and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Continually review sales performance to meet or exceed targets, contributing to team efforts.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, maintaining high service standards and gathering customer feedback.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops and professional societies.

Required Educational Qualifications/Experience and Key Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of Kenya and equities markets, technology, and corporate structures.
